On February 17, 2026, over 100 leaders from industry, higher education, workforce systems, and government came together to examine the data and define a path forward. Participants worked together to shape three action-oriented initiatives. This event was the culmination of a three part series on the topic that began in August 2025 and transformed into a regional community of action.

Kaptivate helped illuminate the vital role Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) play in connecting their surrounding communities in the digital economy. 



GSA Public Engagement with Science Summit 

Client: U.S. General Services Administration Open Innovation Program 

Kaptivate successfully delivered a half-day summit at GSA headquarters in Washington, DC, bringing together more than 100 federal officials representing 16 federal agencies. The event fostered new cross-agency connections, highlighted leading practices in public engagement, and generated valuable content resources that extended the conversation beyond the event itself.

Kaptivate produced a highlight video documenting the ForwardDMV convening, capturing the energy, collaboration, and shared commitment of more than 100 leaders from industry, higher education, workforce systems, and government. GSA Open Innovation Programs

Client: U.S. General Services Administration Open Innovation Program (Challenge.gov and CitizenScience.gov)

Kaptivate managed a national communications program supporting more than 730 federal community members, nearly 300 challenge managers, and over 1,400 annual customer service interactions. Our communications efforts increased social media impressions by more than 1,000%, grew newsletter subscriptions by 1,200%, and generated more than 300 new Challenge.gov customer engagements per month. The program also expanded its digital footprint through the launch of new LinkedIn and YouTube channels and strengthened public participation through innovative outreach campaigns and audience-driven content.
