The Scaling Early-Career Pathways Innovation Lab, part of the broader ForwardDMV initiative, convened a curated group of 40 regional leaders representing perspectives from employers, educators, workforce agencies, government, and intermediaries.
We gathered to address the question: How can we scale high-quality pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship pathways in the DMV over the next 6–12 months using existing resources, without compromising outcomes for learners or employers?
As experts in community activation, the Kaptivate team designed five structured rounds to spur innovation. Participants moved from refining key challenges to identifying root causes, generating solutions, developing plans for implementation, and aligning for action.
