Overview

Founder Debra Tisler approached Kaptivate with a vision: create a K–3 parent literacy toolkits. Designed to serve parents of school-aged children in public, private, charter, or homeschool environments nationwide, the toolkit would live on the EmergentLiteracy.org website and leverage Debra’s national parent supporter network.

The project aimed to:

  • Bridge the gap between student needs and educational opportunities.

  • Drive 3,000–5,000 toolkit views/downloads to demonstrate value and secure future grant funding.

  • Engage potential funders, education associations, and parent membership groups to raise awareness of Emergent Literacy’s growing resources.

Timing was critical: the toolkit needed to be launched in alignment with the Back-to-School season (August 2025) to maximize relevance and parent engagement.

Solution

Kaptivate worked closely with Debra to design a solution that prioritized accessibility, usability, and impact for parent audiences. The strategy included:

The refreshed brand and toolkits position Emergent Literacy as a trusted national resource for parents, while also strengthening its case for future funding.
